Tuatapere, situated on the edge of Fiorldland National Park. Stay for a night or 2 while driving the Southern Scenic Route.

Stretch your legs, take a short peacful bush walk, listen to the native bird song.

Experence the Hump Ridge Track walk,over 3 days,take in the views sounds and bush life.

Jet boat rides on some of the most scenic rivers in NZ can be arranged.

Our town has everything you need, Health and Gift shop, butcher, Four Square Shop.
Information center, Locals, and a Pub.

  • The wicked wee dump was the perfect place for us to relax before and after walking the humpridge track. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious breakfast and all janice's home baking.   • This is our second and third stay at the wwd, great place to start and recover from the humridge track, especially a soak in that outdoor hot bath was great. The home baking snacks and breakfast was delicious. Friendly hosts, thanks guys. . 5

  • Tony and i had a superb night at your comfortable wee wicked dump on the hump! every need was catered for, and we are sorry that we arrived too late to try out the bath! many thanks for the delicious healthy breakfast i think really set us up well for the hump, that infamous uphill tramp! i lovedall of the very tasteful and arty things at your place and shall be recommending a stay at your lovely place to our friends! many thanks indeed!. 5

  • Hi to the real tramping people and thank you for your feedback. You picked the perfect week for the track as this week its been very wet, cold, and windy, or should I say stormy. Even managed to cook some famous tuatapere sausages! explored a little of the surrounding area but need to come back & do some more so you'll be seeing us again. You are wonderful hosts.
